Technical Report from Pat Panichas - August 8, 2005
How smart are we now that the summer is almost over and we have been to numerous clinics? Smarter but we can always learn something new.
The USAG compulsory and optional National and Region 6/7 workshops were well attended and received positive comments. The JO Committee did an excellent job with the new compulsory routines. There are not too many optional changes but there are enough. The emphasis is the excellence of performance both in the execution of skills and the artistry of the routines.
Make sure you always refer to the compulsory book and the JO Code of Points for the final word. Also keep corrections to your books (errata sheets and WTC minutes) up to date, documenting where and when any corrections/clarifications occurred.
The two biggest general changes regarding optional rules are that each event has four special requirements (SR) worth 0.50 each and Level 7 is just another optional level (without compositional deductions).
